There are so many different things that we need to deal
with on a daily basis. There are also a lot of problems
that could cause us embarrassment and are somewhat out
of our control. One of these problems is man boobs,
something that far too many males need to deal with. The
problem with enlarged breasts on a man may come from a
number of underlying causes, some of which are out of
our control. There may be times, however, when a
sluggish metabolism is causing our body to store fat in
and around our chest area. This can look as though you
are growing breasts and it can certainly be a cause for
social alarm. What can be done to stop this from
happening?
First, you will need to make sure that you are actually
having the problem as a result of a slow metabolism.
There are many reasons why a man may begin growing
breasts, including some medical reasons that are a cause
for alarm. These including gynecomastia, a problem in
which a pubescent teen male will beginning to grow
breasts to tumors on the testicles or other glands. All
of these will cause many boobs, but that is just a
symptom of an underlying cause that is more serious.
Make sure that these are not the cause of your problem
before trying to burn them off through diet and
exercise.
Some of us may be born with a slow metabolism but the
rest of us have developed it over time. We do this
through a wrong diet as well as lack of exercise. Our
body having a slow metabolism is an outward sign that it
thinks it is being starved, and from time to time we may
be the ones starving it. Although we may be eating a
lot, we might be starving our bodies of the nutrition
that they need and that would cause our metabolism to
slow down to a grinding halt. Here is how to get it
kicked back into action.
The first thing that you will need to do is to eat
properly. Try eating a balanced diet of carbs and lean
protein at about 5 or 6 small meals every day. This will
keep your body up and running and will move your
metabolism into high gear. If you want to add some
additional juice to your diet then try some high
intensity interval training, or HIIT for short. These
workouts are short but intense and work many times
better at keeping your metabolism running all day long.
So if you are suffering from man boobs as a result of a
slow metabolism, try eating right and getting some
exercise. It is age old advice, but it still works very
well in keeping your body warmed up and running properly
for the long haul. Not only will you be burning fat, you
will be in better shape and feeling better on a daily
basis. This will give you the encouragement and self
esteem needed to continue on with your weight loss
efforts.
